How to Set Up QID Items

The Fresh Tasks app gives you the ability to record and view QID checklists. The recipe items on the QID checklist are set up in the Food and Beverage Maintenance program.

QID Storage

The QID Storage locations are used to group the QID recipe items. These locations must be set up before any recipes can be added to the QID checklist.

Use the following steps to add or edit a QID Storage location.

  1. Load the Food and Beverage Maintenance program for a resturant location
  2. Navigate to the QID Storage tab
  3. To Add a new QID Storage location click the ADD STORAGE button
  4. Enter the QID Storage name, which must be unique
  5. Click Save
  6. To Edit an existing QID Storage location click the EDIT button on the selected row
  7. Modify the QID Storage name
  8. Click Save

To delete a QID Storage location click the DELETE button on the selected row. If the QID Storage location has any recipes assign to it, the record cannot be deleted. In this case, you must first remove all the recipe items and then delete the QID Storage.

Use the following steps to export a QID Storage location to another restaurant

  1. Load the Food and Beverage Maintenance program
  2. Navigate to Maintenance > Export & Update > Export QID Storage Locations
  3. Check the QID Storage locations to export
  4. Check the restaurant locations to export to
  5. Click the Export button

The QID Storage locations export based on the record ID. This means if you modify the name on a QID Storage location and export it, the record in the receiving store will get the updated name. To maintain consistency it is a best practice to enter all the QID Storage locations in a single master location and export from there.

Recipe QID Set Up

After the QID Storage locations are set up you are ready to add recipes to the QID checklist.

Use the following steps to add a recipe to the QID

  1. Load the Food and Beverage Maintenance program for a location
  2. Navigate to the Recipes tab
  3. Select a recipe and click the EDIT button
  4. Check the Include on QID box
  5. Select a value from the QID Storage list
  6. Enter a QID Description (optional)
  7. Enter the temperature information, either above or below a specific temp (optional)
  8. Click Save

Use the following steps to export the recipe QID information to another restaurant

  1. Load the Food and Beverage Maintenance program for a location
  2. Navigate to Maintenance > Export & Update > Export Recipe QID Data
  3. Check the recipes to export
  4. Check the restaurant locations to export to
  5. Click the Export button

The Export Recipe QID Data option will ONLY export the QID related field. This means the recipe must already exist in the receiving database. The regular Export Recipes option will also include the QID fields so new recipes can be exported using this method.
